How Do Our Body Bars Reduce Plastic Pollution?

It’s two fold. Firstly, The production and transportation of liquid products demand a significant amount of water. Our waterless Body Bars, however, eliminate the need for added water, reducing resource consumption in production and transportation.

Secondly, liquid body washes, shower gels and hair products are typically packaged in plastic bottles. By switching to our Body Bars, you eliminate the need for these plastic containers altogether, further reducing single use plastic. Our Body Bars are wrapped in minimal, plastic-free packaging.

Why Are Soap-Free Body Bars a Better Choice for Sensitive Skin?

Unlike soap, the pH balance of our Body Bars is very similar to your skin. So instead of leaving your skin feeling dry, our unique soap free formulation will soothe, hydrate and soften, all whilst protecting your skin’s natural barrier.

Our Body Bars are crafted without traditional soap ingredients like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Parabens, or other harsh chemicals. Instead, they incorporate milder natural cleansing alternatives that are less likely to irritate sensitive skin.

The Dangers of SLS and Parabens: Why Avoid Them?

SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and Parabens are frequently found in personal care products, but they carry potential risks that you may choose to steer clear of. SLS helps skincare products create a lather and foam but they can remove the skin's natural oils, lead to dryness and affect skin conditions like eczema. Parabens are a group of synthetic preservatives, which can lead to skin irritation, redness, or more severe allergic reactions for individuals. Studies have also suggested potential links between Parabens and various health concerns. Thankfully, we don’t use either in the Fussy Body bars.

What ingredients do we use?

Formulated with a blend of natural ingredients aimed at nourishing your skin. Virgin Coconut Oil helps with moisturising and softening the skin. Colloidal Oat softens, balances and hydrates the skin and soothes irritation and redness. Inulin, a prebiotic with hydrating qualities, helps protect the skin’s biome. Our Exfoliating Bar also has Bamboo and Charcoal Powder to gently exfoliate and give you that glow. To make them smell amazing, we then add essential oils.
